Former US First Lady Michelle Obama celebrated Mother’s Day, which is celebrated on the second Sunday in May every year in the United States, with an exhibition dedicated to her mother. This has been reported People.
“Hello everyone, I’m Michelle and everyone knows me as Marian Robinson’s daughter,” said Michelle Obama in the video announcing the opening of the exhibition.
He also talked about the exhibition itself, called “Opening the White House,” taking place at the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago.
Michelle Obama quotes the values that my mother instilled in me – community, family, bringing people together, creating a warm, welcoming space where everyone feels at home.
The exhibit will reproduce the interiors of some rooms of the White House during the presidency of Barack Obama. These will be the East Room, where banquets are held, and the Blue Room, where the Christmas tree is planted. The exhibit will also feature a replica of the South Garden of the presidential residence, where informal events are held at Easter, including the search for hidden eggs.
Explaining why she dedicated her first Presidential Center exhibit to her mother, Michelle Obama said her mother gave her “unconditional love” and that she wouldn’t be herself without her.
The Obama Presidential Center is not yet open – its construction was announced in September 2021. Therefore, the exhibit will be located at the construction site in the southern part of Chicago.
