April Simpkins, mother of 2019 MISS USA winner Chesley Krist, who passed away in January 2022, spoke about her daughter’s “high-functioning depression.” This has been reported Fox News.
According to April Simpkins, her daughter did everything so that others wouldn’t notice she was depressed.
“There are people who function perfectly and live day to day. Chesley kept his face,” he told Red Table Talk.
She added that she had known about her daughter’s problem since her early 20s and encouraged her to call when necessary. At the same time, Chesley thought Krist was feeling better.
“He’s starting to move in the right direction. See a therapist. He slept well at night. He knew what to do,” admitted April Simpkins.
But according to the mother of the deceased beauty queen, she didn’t realize how deep her daughter’s depression was. Including, because Chesley Krist herself always said she was nice, and in communicating with her friends she preferred to talk about their business rather than her own.
On the death of Chesley Krist reported in January 2022.
