Ashley, the youngest granddaughter of 40th US President Ronald Reagan, married his girlfriend, police officer Joe Dunster. Photos from the wedding emerged daily mail.
Ashley Reagan and Joe Dunster were married May 5 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Montecito, California, after which they held a reception at Reagan’s ranch in Santa Barbara. The farm where the personal belongings of the 40th President of the USA and his wife, Nancy Reagan, were kept, now belongs to the Young America Foundation.
“We looked at many beautiful places, but we wanted to have a wedding in a place with history to feel a personal connection. This is also where my grandfather met,” Ashley Reagan shared with reporters.
The wedding menu offered another nod to Ashley’s grandparents: Ronald and Nancy’s favorite stew, Chasen’s chili, served alongside barbecue, fish or chicken.
Ashley and Joe have known each other since childhood, but only started dating in March 2021.
“He accidentally contacted me and asked: “How would you like to have a cup of coffee, meet and chat? “We met and we made up for lost time, the rest is history,” Ashley Reagan said.
