The Balenciaga scandal was sparked by an advertisement for the brand to film children with teddy bears wearing leather harnesses. Sportswear, shoes and accessories manufacturer adidas, which released a joint collection with Balenciaga the previous day, decided to reconsider its cooperation with the fashion house. Pre-orders for the Balenciaga x adidas collaboration have been halted and emails have been sent to customers about “delivery delays”.
