The organizers of the “Miss Universe” beauty contest did not promise the Ukrainian Victoria Apanasenko and did not invite her to the stage in the final. This was reported by the Ukrainian edition kp.ua.
“I thought I would be invited on stage to present the award and say something. <...> They didn’t even give me 20 seconds,” he said.
According to Apanasenko, he “really wanted to remind” viewers that “the conflict is ongoing.”
He added that unlike himself, other contestants were also invited to the stage to present their awards in the final. At the same time, a video was recorded with him, which was shown during the broadcast of the event the previous day.
Apanasenko, a competitor from Ukraine in the framework of the Miss Universe pageant, previously on the Obozrevatel portal, refused Stand next to Anna Linnikova, holder of the title “Miss Russia – 2022”. The publication says that as they were preparing for a joint photo, Ukrainian Apanasenko held the hand of the competitor standing next to him so that the Russian representative would not let him walk towards them. The Ukrainian woman wanted to replace the “Miss Colombia” on the left.
