Nelson Mandela’s grandson sued Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. It has been reported New York Post.
Nicola Mandela, 57, criticized the Dukes of Sussex for “using her grandfather’s legacy for profit” on Netflix’s Live to Lead. In particular, the grandson of the former South African president accused Prince Harry and Meghan Markle of comparing their struggle with the royal family to the life and struggle for freedom of the former South African president.
“This chalk and cheese is incomparable. I know the Nelson Mandela Foundation supports this initiative, but people have been stealing grandfather’s words and using his legacy for years because they know his name is for sale – Harry and Meghan are no different. “They use their quotes from the documentary to attract people and make millions without benefiting the Mandela family.”
Despite criticism and allegations, Nicola Mandela admitted she respects Prince Harry for how “confidently” he left the royal family, and compared him to his grandfather, who “rebelled against arranged marriage to find his own way in life”.
“Harry has to be candid and stick to his own story, what does my grandfather’s life have to do with his?” Nicola added that she doesn’t believe Meghan and Harry knew her grandfather.
