Illumination and Nintendo have unveiled the second full trailer for the upcoming computer-animated movie The Super Mario Bros. Movie, based on the game series of the same name.
In the trailer, they showed Mario getting into a fight with Donkey Kong, but he quickly put him on his shoulder blades and started punching him. Other iconic Nintendo characters are also featured in the video, including Toad, Princess Peach, Luigi, and Bowser. At the end of the video, there is a scene where the heroes take part in a race on a rainbow track in the spirit of Mario Kart.
Super Mario Bros. is scheduled to premiere on April 7, 2023. Mario is voiced by Chris Pratt, best known for his role as Star-Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy. The official distributor is Universal Pictures.
