20th Century Studios has released the full trailer for James Cameron’s upcoming sci-fi movie Avatar: The Way of the Water. Also, the official poster of the movie with the main characters appeared.

The world premiere is scheduled for December 16 of this year. The main action takes place 15 years after the events of the original film. The trailer showed the underwater world, flying on wild animals, as well as spectacular special effects.

According to media reports, the runtime of the second part of “Avatar” will be 190 minutes. This is longer than the length of the original movie.
Keep in mind that three more installments of the franchise are expected in the future:
- Avatar 3 – December 20, 2024;
- Avatar 4 – December 18, 2026;
- Avatar 5 – December 22, 2028
Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver and Stephen Lang will reprise their roles. There will also be many new characters, including Jake and Neytiri’s children.
