Neus Ferry, a Nervous and Eager singer and composer from Alcoy, prepares for an upcoming performance on January 20 at the Palau de Les Arts in Valencia. There she will unveil a new work, continuing the momentum that began with a release a year ago and that kept audiences delighting throughout 2023 after receiving critical acclaim late in the previous year.
Ferry expresses real happiness about the concert, noting that the year has been fulfilling. The Valencian artist, winner of the Carles Santos Award for Valencian Music in the best pop album category from Generalitat Culture in November and a recipient of the Ovidi Montllor Awards, is kicking off a year that will feature the live presentation of her third album. The performance is set in the Aula Magistral of the Palau de Les Arts, a venue known for its intimate evenings dedicated to Valencian music hosted by the auditorium.
She aims to mark the first anniversary of the album, released on January 21, 2021, and to highlight the journey that has defined its fuse of intensity and ease. Ferry reflects on the disc as a project that embraced minimal pressure and delivered strong artistic clarity. The album, eight tracks sung mostly in Valencian, signals a return to her roots.
What began as a thoughtful idea grew into a collaborative process that brought together friends and local talents in Alcoy. The record centers on family and the people in Ferry’s circle, a theme warmly received by listeners who connected with the emotional honesty of the songs. The artist feels fortunate to balance professional work with personal passion, a combination that remains meaningful and empowering.
Across its songs, the album presents a more intimate and reflective tone. It stands as Ferry’s most approachable yet free sounding collection, inviting audiences to focus on important people and moments in her life. The accompanying live set will feature an acoustic interpretation of the album along with a full band. The lineup includes Hector Tirado on guitar, Jorge Molina on bass, Adrian Perales on drums, Marina Alcantud on keyboards, and Berta Iniguez plus Monty Peiro on choirs.

Neus Ferri has shaped a versatile career spanning teaching, composition, session work, theatre and film music, and choir directing. Her vocal flexibility has earned acclaim from critics and audiences alike. She first gained prominence in Spain through a provincial artist recognition in 2012 and through the La Voz program where she was a finalist. Her solo career began with Here I Am produced by Warner Music Spain and worked with the late Jose de Castro. Her second studio album, Love Hate Songs, received acclaim at the Valencian Music Awards in 2019 and was co-edited with Maldito Records, produced by Pachi García Alis. A 2020 single in Valencian and a 2021 release with minimal gravity followed, each contributing to her evolving artistic identity. The present project continues Ferry’s exploration of language, family, and identity, while inviting listeners to experience a personal and stylistic evolution.
