Actress Svetlana Nemolyaeva recalled that her first meaningful purchase came after she earned a fee for filming Eldar Ryazanov’s movie Office Romance. The remark was quoted by PROZVEZD.
She said that her husband, People’s Artist of the RSFSR Alexander Lazarev, and she saved more money. Since stores were sparse at the time, they bought karakul fur from a friend, turning a practical purchase into a small milestone of their early life together. The fur coat still sits in Nemolyaeva’s wardrobe some 47 years later, a tangible reminder of those first independent steps. She also noted that she traveled abroad for the first time at age 25, when she joined the Vladimir Mayakovsky Theatre on a tour that had become a long-standing affiliation since 1959.
On a different note, People’s Artist of the RSFSR Larisa Golubkina recalled that her first kiss happened on the set of Ryazanov’s film Hussar Ballad, where she played Shurochka Azarova and Yuri Yakovlev portrayed Lieutenant Rzhevsky. The kiss scene was filmed on its third attempt after Golubkina repeatedly removed the glued mustache from her co-star. The moment, she remembered, stayed with her forever as a vivid memory from the production.
