Several bloggers linked to a group that assaulted pedestrians in St. Petersburg were detained after footage of the incidents appeared online. The information comes from the joint press service of the city courts, reported by Izvestia.

Among those taken into custody is Emil Kh., a minor who entered a not guilty plea and faces charges of hooliganism carried out through prior conspiracy by a group. His brother was also detained ahead of the trial, extending the scope of the case to multiple family members.

Another member of the gang, Seymour M., is in custody at the Moskovsky District Court on suspicion of inciting hatred or hostility and insulting human dignity. He has not yet been formally charged, and authorities have ordered that he remain behind bars until mid-December.

Five individuals connected to the beating were detained administratively the day before, and two younger suspects were sent to a temporary detention center for violations of immigration rules.

Police report that a group of young people provoked crowds near a subway station and several eateries. Those involved were recorded on video and later posted on a Telegram channel titled Life of a Tramp. The police detained four foreign nationals aged between 16 and 18, who hold Azerbaijani passports, as well as another 18-year-old resident of St. Petersburg.
