Rapper Instasamka faces concert changes amid activist response and new album plans

Rapper and blogger Daria Zoteeva (Instasamka) faced controversy as telegram channel reports claimed concert cancellations due to activist pressure.

According to Zoteeva, there were no official performance restrictions tied to the themes in her music. Instead, she chose to pull back from touring because the format of her solo shows did not meet her own artistic goals. The decision reflects a desire to deliver a stronger, more complete live experience for fans, rather than a reaction to external reactions.

Fans were told that a new, more expansive show is being prepared in connection with the album titled “RICH WITCH.” The artist hinted that this enhanced production would be unveiled at the start of the 25th, inviting audiences to anticipate a different kind of stage presentation that goes beyond previous concerts.

On March 1, a Mash Telegram channel update claimed that regional performances were canceled following feedback from activists criticizing the artist’s public image and lyrical themes. The channel also noted that Zoteeva was supportive of the decision to cancel those performances, emphasizing control over her touring schedule and brand direction.

Earlier, reports circulated about a legal demand seeking 150 million rubles in non-pecuniary damages against Instasamka. In one interview, the artist made a provocative remark about psychologists, suggesting that some professionals might be charging clients without delivering real help. This statement reportedly drew professional criticism and a subsequent legal response from an expert who argued for the damages sought by the claimant. The situation underscores ongoing disputes in the public sphere about artistic expression and personal responsibility within the entertainment industry.

There has also been talk of Alla Pugacheva contributing new material for an upcoming anniversary, signaling continued collaboration and fresh music releases in the broader cultural landscape.
