A fresh complaint has emerged in Paris against actor Gerard Depardieu, according to reports from Western France citing the actor’s legal representative. The new accusation adds to a long-running public discourse surrounding the actor and his conduct.

The filed complaint, dated January 8, was submitted by a former assistant director who wished to remain anonymous. The individual alleges inappropriate behavior by Depardieu during the production of the film “Le magicien et les siamois” in 2014. The claimant asserts that Depardieu touched her in ways that were not appropriate and made remarks that she deemed inappropriate, describing an environment on set that felt coercive and uncomfortable. The matter has drawn renewed attention as part of ongoing conversations about behavior on film sets and accountability within the industry.

Depardieu has previously faced accusations of rape or sexual harassment. Actress Charlotte Arnault has alleged that the actor assaulted her on two occasions at his Paris home in 2018, describing an encounter that she framed as an informal rehearsal gone off the rails. In response, Depardieu published an open letter stating that Arnault visited his home and entered his bedroom of her own free will, noting that a criminal case had been opened but later closed. This sequence of events underscores the complexity and contentious nature of sexual misconduct allegations against high-profile figures and how such cases are handled within the French legal system.

Arnault is among a group of 13 women who have accused Depardieu of some form of sexual harassment. In April 2023, Mediapart published an investigative report presenting the allegations, based on statements from the women and detailing incidents reported across years from 2004 to 2022. The reporting highlighted a pattern that many of the accusers described as persistent behavior, contributing to a broader national conversation about power, consent, and accountability in French cultural institutions.

In a separate note, Bikbaev recalled an incident involving Meladze, describing actions he took that involved the theft and burning of a contract. This incident, while mentioned in the same repository of stories, appears unrelated to the Depardieu case and reflects a different thread within discussions about professional agreements and their lingering consequences in the public record.
