TV Presenter Nikolai Drozdov Hospitalized After Suspected Poisoning, Family Updates Say
A close family friend, singer and composer Dmitry Dunaev shared with socialbites.ca that Nikolai Drozdov was hospitalized yesterday following a suspected poisoning incident. According to Dunaev, Drozdov is now feeling well and is on the road to recovery.
“Just ten minutes ago I spoke with his wife, Tatyana Petrovna. He and his daughter Elena are returning from the hospital. Nikolai Nikolaevich is in excellent condition. He experienced an upset stomach after consuming something yesterday. The poisoning case was addressed with the necessary medical procedures yesterday. He is feeling better now, and doctors plan to keep him in the hospital for several more days to help his body fully recover. At 86, the stomach remains highly sensitive to various foods, so it is a relief that there were no lasting complications,” Dunaev said.
Earlier, the Telegram channel 112 reported that Drozdov faced health problems and sought medical help. According to 112, he was diagnosed with inflammation affecting internal organs.
RBC also cited artist Konstantin Miroshnik, a friend of Drozdov, who said the TV presenter received planned treatment for an eye issue.
Statements about his condition have followed earlier reports that Drozdov’s health had deteriorated. It was noted that he experienced trouble breathing after a fall on the street on his way home from Moscow State University in January. He subsequently required intensive care due to several broken ribs, one of which punctured a lung, necessitating a catheter, a situation that temporarily limited his mobility.
Former actress Tatyana Vasilyeva commented on Drozdov’s condition after his hospitalization, sharing insights with socialbites.ca.
