Echo – mini-series, Created by Marion Dare

Detective Forst – season 1, created by Agata Malesinska, Jacek Markiewicz and Leszek Dawid

A Polish crime drama inspired by the Remigiusz Mroz cycle follows investigator Viktor Forst. After facing dismissal for questionable methods, he continues the pursuit of brutal murders alongside a determined journalist as a private citizen.

Belgravia: The Next Chapter – miniseries, created by Helen Edmundson

Where and when to watch: MGM+ starting January 14.

The continuation of a saga rooted in Downton Abbey creator Julian Fellowes’ universe, set in 1871. A new generation of the Trenchards takes center stage as fresh intrigue unfolds in London’s Belgravia.

True Detective – Season 4: Nightland, created by Issa Lopez and Nic Pizzolatto

Where and when to watch: HBO starting January 15.

The long awaited return of the anthology delves into a remote Alaskan town. Two partners confront a baffling disappearance at a research station, while guiding voices lead the investigation through chilling discoveries.

Monsieur Spade – miniseries, created by Scott Frank and Tom Fontana

Where and when to watch: AMC and Amediateka starting January 15.

A detective tale reimagining Sam Spade from Dashiell Hammett. The retired sleuth returns to action in the south of France to investigate the murders of six nuns, with Clive Owen portraying the lead.

Beautiful – mini-series

Where and when to watch: Premier starting January 18.

A gripping crime drama features a young car thief drawn into a web of vengeance and family ties as the former director of a metals plant becomes entangled in a perilous plot.

Hazbin Hotel – season 1, created by Vivienne Medrano

Where and when to watch: Amazon Prime Video starting January 19.

An extended musical animation about the princess of a crowded Hell seeking redemption for sinners. The origin episode first aired in 2019, with a spinoff following as the journey continues toward Heaven.

Cristóbal Balenciaga – miniseries, created by Aitor Arregi, Hon Garaño, José Mari Goenaga and Lourdes Iglesias

Where and when to watch: Disney+ starting January 19.

A biographical look at Cristóbal Balenciaga, the Basque fashion icon who founded a legendary couture house that shaped modern style.

The Others – Season 1

Where and when to watch: Kinopoisk starting January 25.

A retro fantasy set in an alternate Europe of the 1940s, where ordinary people discover extraordinary powers and navigate a world rewritten by possibility.

S e x y Monster – season 1, created by Michael Caleo

Where and when to watch: Paramount+ starting January 25.

A modern crime drama inspired by classic turf plots focuses on close friends drawn into the London underworld in the 1990s. The ensemble features fresh takes on familiar archetypes from the original film universe.

Masters of the Air – miniseries, created by John Shiban and John Orloff

Where and when to watch: Apple TV+ – January 26.

Spiritual successor to Band of Brothers and The Pacific, charting the saga of the US Air Force’s 100th Bomb Group during World War II. Directors include Cary Fukunaga, while cast members span Austin Butler, Callum Turner, Anthony Boyle, Barry Keoghan and Shuti Gatta among others.

Expatriates – mini-series, created by Lulu Wang

Where and when to watch: Amazon Prime Video starting January 26.

A drama following a vibrant immigrant community and the lives of people who left home behind to start anew, featuring Nicole Kidman in a leading role.
