Singer Natasha Koroleva shared a quick update after the first rehearsal of a number on the Mask show aired by NTV. She told her followers about what happened during the session, mentioning a noticeable change in her appearance as the practice started to take shape.
“The first rehearsal went by fast and there was a noticeable drop in weight, a quick two kilograms down”, the artist wrote in a post accompanying a video of her performing in a Mouse costume on stage.
Koroleva also offered a glimpse behind the scenes, where participants must enter in a special uniform to keep their identities concealed. In the clips she posted, she appears with an opaque screen that fully covers her face as she arrives at the studio. She later shows how she fits into the Mouse outfit for the performance.
“The dress feels warm and the head feels heavy”, the singer commented, describing the physical demands of the costume.
Reports also revealed that in the tenth episode of the Mask show, the Mummy costume concealed the performer Yaroslav Sumishevsky behind the mask. The project has featured several well known artists attempting to hide their identities with elaborate attire.
Another notable moment involved Anita Tsoi, who previously participated in the show in a hamster costume. It was noted that a 12 year old fan reportedly urged her to join the project, highlighting the strong fan engagement surrounding the program across audiences.
