The Moscow Troitsky Court extended the house arrest of Valeria Chekalina, who is also known as Lerchek, and her former husband Artem Chekalin. The court also extended the detention of their former business partner, Roman Vishnyak. The order concerns the period of restriction in a case alleging illegal withdrawals of money from Russia.
Earlier, Valeria Chekalina and Artem Chekalin were placed under house arrest on charges of arranging foreign exchange transactions to move money to foreign accounts using forged documents. The third participant in the scheme is Vishnyak, who is connected to the case.
Investigators say the operation involved the withdrawal of more than 250 million rubles from Russia through illicit transfers.
Valeria’s ex-husband is described as a central figure in the case. Bee Fit is suspected of transferring payments for fitness marathons, with the transactions carried out through a Dubai-based bank.
Earlier reports mentioned a singer named Islam Itlyashev who allegedly accrued debts to the Federal Tax Service.
This profile of the investigation highlights how cross border financial activity, forged documents and international banking links can intertwine in high profile cases. While the legal process continues, authorities stress that the allegations remain part of an ongoing inquiry and are subject to judicial decision based on evidence presented in court.
