Milokhin Controversy and Possible Military Enlistment Matters in Public Discourse

In a discussion with Dmitry, who is described as Dani Milokhin’s stepfather, he suggested that the blogger might travel to Russia to undergo a medical check for the military registration and enlistment office. The conversation touched on potential implications of such a visit, including the possibility that Milokhin could feel uneasy about flying again after recent events that affected his public profile.

Dmitry asserted that Milokhin faced relentless scrutiny and harassment concerning his public persona. He explained that while many voices in online spaces claim to speak with total candor, only a few actually face consequences for their statements, and Milokhin had not spoken in a way that would be deemed illegal. The stepfather emphasized that the blogger was not seeking trouble and had expressed frustration about the way things had unfolded, arguing that the pressure was disproportionate to anything Milokhin had done publicly.

According to Dmitry, Milokhin was portrayed as an extremist by certain observers. He argued that the situation in show business sometimes forces individuals to present a crafted image. In Milokhin’s case, he noted that the colorful appearance and some provocative actions were not solely his own decisions but were discussed and approved in collaboration with a producer under an existing contract. Dmitry recalled past instances when a bold persona might have been welcomed at events like an economic forum, but current circumstances had altered how such behavior was perceived, leading to unfair characterizations.

Milokhin returned to Russia on September 8, 2023. Following his return, Ekaterina Mizulina, who heads an organization focused on internet safety, published a public appeal through Telegram directed at the leadership of the Russian Ministry of Defense. The message urged consideration of Milokhin’s potential conscription. A few days later, on September 11, it was reported that the blogger had left Russia for the United Arab Emirates, signaling a possible shift in his travel plans amid ongoing attention from authorities and media outlets.

On September 19, reports emerged that, at the initiative of the Anapa military registration and enlistment office, Milokhin had been placed on a wanted list. Official records from the online database of the country’s interior ministry indicated that Milokhin was not currently on the federal wanted list, and representatives from the agency stated they did not have any information corroborating a search for him. The discrepancy between public announcements and official records underscored the fragility of information circulating in fast-moving online ecosystems and the challenges of keeping track of rapidly evolving situations involving high-profile figures.

In a separate development, Ksenia Sobchak had previously weighed in on the possibility of a relationship with a widely known YouTube creator, highlighting how personal connections and public interest often intersect with professional trajectories in the world of social media influence. This context illustrated how public perception can shape the narratives surrounding online personalities while authorities, platforms, and fans navigate complex, sometimes competing interests.
