80s Summer Party Returns for a Decade of Evening Magic
Ten years have passed since the Magical Nights Festival first lit up Alicante with music, energy, and summer nights that linger in memory. Now in its tenth edition, the festival keeps the same spark but adds fresh venues to widen the experience. In addition to its traditional setting, the April Gardens in San Juan de Alicante will host concerts, while a new Stage Confetti at the Ocean-Marcos Automoción site near the Port of Alicante will bring performances to the water’s edge and the arena space will expand the festival’s footprint.
Across nine editions, the festival’s stages welcomed iconic performers and brought together large crowds who danced under warm skies. Names like Julio Iglesias, Joan Manuel Serrat, Pasión Vega, El Dúo Dinámico, José Mercé, Los Secretos, India Martínez, Miguel Poveda, David Otero, and Andrés Suárez have graced the nights, turning the Magic Nights Festival at the April Gardens into a cornerstone of Alicante’s summer. It collects the city’s communities for evenings of live music and shared memories.
80s Summer Party
Under the summer sun and the stars, festival-goers enjoy two dates that have become landmarks in Alicante’s calendar: July 30 and August 6. The 80s Summer Party has evolved into the premier summer celebration in the area, a bold footprint of nostalgia and fresh sound alike. The success is seen in the sell-out crowds, including the highly anticipated Hombres G performance and other legendary acts, with additions such as Sarah Baras and a strong lineup that keeps the energy high and the dance floor busy.
Art, Exhibitions and Live Performances: #MASKEUNCONCERT
Magical Nights at the April Gardens offer more than music. The festival presents a festival-wide celebration that blends entertainment, gastronomy, and culture into one vibrant summer event. While national music remains the festival’s heartbeat, design, art, and food come together in a Food and Art Market area. This zone houses a handicraft market, live painting and sculpture displays, and ongoing performances by local bands and solo artists, creating a multi-sensory experience for attendees.
In keeping with past editions, the Food and Art Market sits alongside a drinking and dancing zone, where an expanded VIP area, DJ sessions, and ample private parking enhance the overall experience. The main stage continues to host impressive performances, with each night delivering a different flavor of culture and sound.
Venues of Magical Nights Concerts
The festival takes place across several distinctive spaces. April Gardens, located in Sant Joan d’Alacant, spans more than 10,000 square meters outdoors. It invites visitors to reconnect with the Mediterranean breeze, lush greenery, fountains, and twinkling lights that frame summer nights. It remains the central hub for the 80’s Summer Party and other headline events during the season.
Among the featured venues, Stage Confetti at Pier 12 in the Port of Alicante sits by the water, giving attendees a chance to enjoy the sea breeze as they sip a drink or dine at nearby restaurants. The two performances at Confetti are placed on July 14 and July 22, with Dani Mateo and the duo Roll and Smuggling as the headliners for those evenings.
Another major date on the calendar is the Morat performance on August 20, planned for the Arena in Alicante, a grand finale that caps the festival’s aquatic and urban venues for the year.
