Actress Lidiya Fedoseeva-Shukshina denied reports that her health had worsened. She spoke about her condition in a discussion with a major Russian news outlet, addressing concerns that had circulated in recent days.
She stressed that her health remains stable and that she is able to carry on with ordinary life. She noted that her daughter Olga helps with daily care and that family support remains strong, helping her meet everyday challenges with a positive outlook.
Regarding her day-to-day life and outlook, Fedoseeva-Shukshina asked for peace and expressed gratitude for the life she still enjoys. She mentioned a visit from Maria and a conversation with Maria Shukshina’s great-grandson Mark. Like many people of her age, she experiences joint pain, yet she said she was grateful for the life she leads and she wants to live without sensational or unnecessary reports about herself.
She also clarified that she did not fall down the stairs, countering claims that had been circulated by some outlets.
On October 16, reports circulated on social media alleging that her condition had deteriorated. The posts claimed she faced the consequences of a heart attack and suffered memory loss and fainting, with a stroke cited as part of the timeline.
Those posts described a fall at home in September, a head injury, and subsequent memory problems, weakness in the legs, and difficulty walking. It was suggested that doctors recommended rest in a sanatorium in the near future.
Earlier, there were unverified accounts about tensions within Maria Shukshina’s family. One report implied controversy surrounding the mother’s treatment within the family, which could not be independently confirmed.
