Mark Kondratyuk, the European champion in figure skating and Olympic champion in team events, attended an ice show in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia. The event was covered by correspondent sports24, who noted that the athlete wore a traditional Mongolian costume during the performance to the song Dschinghis Khan by the German group of the same name.
Kondratyuk commented on the moment, saying, “The piece was chosen by Anzhelika Krylova. I hoped the Mongolian audience would enjoy it, but the response surpassed expectations—people connected with the performance on a very deep level.”
During May 6 and 7, a showcase featuring top Russian figure skaters brought a gathering of fans in Ulaanbaatar. In addition to public performances, the program included master classes for local young athletes. The roster of participants featured Kamila Valieva, Elizaveta Tuktamysheva, Adelia Petrosyan, Sofia Akatieva, Evgeny Semenenko, Dmitry Aliev, Mark Kondratyuk, Pyotr Gumennik, Arseniy Fedotov, Anastasia Mishina, Alexander Gallyamov, Evgenia Tarasova, Vladimir Morozov, Alexandra Boykova, Dmitry Mongolia Kozlitovsky, and Nikita Katsalapov, among others.
