Gravina Museum of Fine Arts (mubag) continues its festive season with a December 27 to January 4 program designed for visitors of every age. The schedule blends educational workshops, storytelling, theater, and guided tours to celebrate the holidays in a creative and accessible way.
As part of Mubag’s New Year’s programming, five creative workshops invite children ages 4 to 12. On December 27, 28, and 29, youngsters will craft Christmas decorations inspired by pieces from the permanent collection, including 19th‑century works, the illuminated collection, an artist’s palette, a Christmas ornament, and a laurel wreath. On January 3 and 4, the workshop series turns to Dorita’s magical shoes to explore the shoe designs featured in the recently opened temporary exhibition Art as Inspiration, drawn from Sara Navarro’s collection. Workshops run from 11:00 to 13:00, with free admission and no prior registration required. (Source: Mubag official program notes.)
In addition to hands‑on activities, the program offers two storytelling sessions organized by Va de Cuentos para Pequeños for ages 3 and up. On December 27 at 18:00, Irene Castillo leads a Winter Tales Lab, followed by a session on January 3 at 18:00 presenting traveling stories by Alexander Morera. Pre‑registration is requested through Mubag’s website for participation. (Source: Mubag official program notes.)
The cultural authority Julia Parra commented that the offerings cultivate appreciation for painters and sculptors of historical importance among the youngest visitors and broader audiences, while also featuring theatre tours and the museum’s current exhibitions. The programming remains available to guests as part of Mubag’s commitment to accessible, high‑quality cultural experiences. (Source: Mubag official program notes.)
