Circarte kicks off midweek at the University of Alicante Auditorium
Circarte begins its week with a showcase during the UA performing arts program paranymph. The event spotlights second-year students from Circus Arts Preparatory Vocational Education CREATE, who are presenting their work as part of a year-long training and production cycle in Valencian Circus Arts. The performance, featuring Fkanys Bimsa, is scheduled for Wednesday, October 19, at 7:00 pm.
The show serves as a portfolio letter for the 21/22 cohort of the CREATE circus school. In this presentation, ten circus performers take the stage to immerse the audience in a world where acrobatics, aerial maneuvers, and juggling blend with humor, melancholy, and a sense of vertigo. It is a space where spectators can see their own reflections echoed in the performers’ voices and moves.
Fkanys Bimsa unfolds a universe where physical daring meets emotional texture, combining high-energy feats with moments of quiet reflection. The experience invites every viewer to consider their own perspective as the performers navigate balance, risk, and grace on stage.
The ticket price for this show is 5 euros and is recommended for audiences aged 12 and older.
CREATE, established in Valencia in August 2020, focuses on the educational advancement and professionalization needs of the circus sector. It supports emerging artists by providing hands-on training, mentorship, and opportunities to present work to the public.
The Circarte festival runs from October 6 to October 23. An earlier schedule note indicated that the IV Air Gala Fractal Space had been postponed to November 12, as announced by festival organizers. This adjustment reflects the festival’s ongoing coordination with artists and venues to ensure a high-quality program for attendees.
