On Valentine’s Day in Russia, audiences will get a fresh anthology film that collects seven short stories about romantic life. The work titled “Attention – Love” will be released as a digital broadcast on the KION platform, bringing to screens a mosaic of intimate narratives crafted for the screen in a contemporary format.
The project centers on dialogue-driven storytelling that blends irony with philosophical reflections. The creator’s intention is to present conversations that feel authentic and intimate, highlighting the subtle tensions and tender moments that can arise in long-term partnerships. Director Kirill Vasiliev gives careful attention to the nuances of relationships that emerge between married couples, aiming to reflect real experiences and questions about love with sensitivity and lucidity.
Structured as seven distinct vignettes, the film explores a spectrum of male–female relationships. Some segments portray traumatic or unrequited loves, while others depict loves that arrive too late or never fully take root. Each chapter invites viewers to consider a range of perspectives on love, sex, romance, and the varied ways people connect, misunderstand, and navigate emotional bonds. The format allows for intimate character studies and a broader examination of how romance evolves in modern life.
Among the cast are Marina Alexandrova, Anna Snatkina, Mila Ershova, Pavel Barshak, Daniil Vorobyov, Nino Ninidze, Anastasia Krasovskaya, Oscar Kuchera, and other notable figures in Russian cinema. The premiere is scheduled for February 14, aligning with the holiday’s themes of affection and companionship, and promising a thoughtful, multi-faceted look at love’s many faces.
