The Alicante Bonfire Fair is on the verge of lifting its curtain, and the first lines have begun to form in Plaza de Toros as fans queue to secure tickets for the San Juan loop. For hours, the Alicante arena ticket office hummed with activity as bullfighting enthusiasts lined up to purchase passes for the festive event.

Single-ticket sales for the tribune opened this morning, following the distribution of season passes, and the square echoed with the familiar long queues that fans expect each year as the fair approaches.
