‘Top Gun: Maverick’ surpasses ‘Black Panther’ to become the fifth highest-grossing film in the US

Top Gun Maverick, the sequel to Tony Scott’s 1986 film starring Tom Cruise, grossed over $700 million in North America in its 13th week. The film surpassed Marvel’s Black Panther ($700.4 million) and is currently the fifth highest-grossing film in the United States.
