Actor Joe Pesci has joined the cast of Pete Davidson’s upcoming sitcom Bupkis.
The show, which will air on the Peacock streaming service, will be the subject of an artistically rendered biography of Davidson himself. The comedian will co-wrote and executive produce, along with the lead role, on “Donut Hole.” As Deadline points out, the series has been compared to Larry David’s long-running hit Curb Your Enthusiasm.
Pesci will play Davidson’s grandfather, as this will be the second series work in the show’s entire career (after the 1985 comedy detective Half Nelson). The role of the comedian’s mother went to the star of The Sopranos and Sister Jackie Edie Falco.
In 1999, Pesci announced his retirement from acting, but has since returned several times from retirement to star in, for example, Robert De Niro’s thriller The False Temptation, the comedy Love Ranch, and Martin Scorsese’s gangster drama The Irishman.
Former actor Danny DeVito declarationHe said he played Penguin better than Colin Farrell in the new “Batman”.
