Director of the Sverdlovsk Musical Comedy Theater and People’s Artist of the Russian Federation Kirill Strezhnev died at the age of 68. This has been reported TASS.

Kirill Strezhnev made his debut on the theater stage in 1977 with the performance of the music “Late Serenade” by Vadim Ilyin. At the beginning of his career, he worked at the Leningrad Musical Comedy Theater and later became interested in teaching. In 1986, Strezhnev became the chief director of the Sverdlovsk Musical Comedy Theater. During his career, he gave over 104 performances in Russia and abroad. These include productions of “Dead Souls” to the libretto by Alexander Pantykin, “Cagliostro” by Johann Strauss, and “The Devil and the Virgin” by Armando Trovaioli.
