Several months have passed since Philip Kirkorov’s performance on the cross, but human rights activists still want the artist to be punished for insulting the feelings of believers. Anton Yegovtsev, press secretary of the People’s Call movement, told socialbites.ca that the police refused to file a criminal case against Kirkorov “because of the absence of a criminal incident”. The organization’s application was filed on August 15, and the county police officer signed the refusal two days later.
“Kirkorov can be danced on the cross. According to the People’s Call report, the cheat was approved by the Kitay-Gorod Ministry of Internal Affairs.
– That is, in fact, the Ministry of Internal Affairs did it, despite the outrage of tens of millions of Christians by the abusive act of Filip Kirkorov, and despite the fact that the Muslims of Russia opposed this vile act of banning concerts in the Caucasus. I see nothing reprehensible in Kirkorov’s actions! This answer cannot be evaluated outside of spitting in the face of the citizens of Russia and the protection of Kirkorov.
The organization announced plans to appeal against the police’s decision to the head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, with a request to recheck the high-profile speech.
The document containing the decision to refuse to initiate a criminal case was attached to the audit material in a similar application filed in early May by another group of citizens. Presumably, this group included representatives of the Tsargrad center for human rights. The deputy head of the organization, Boris Malyutkin, told socialbites.ca that the police considered their application in May, and also refused to open a criminal case.
“We have sent this decision to the Kitai-Gorod prosecutor’s office for appeal,” the Tsargrad representative said.
– We persist in our demands and demand that Philip Bedrosovich be held accountable. Because we did not see that he publicly apologized to the applicants in any way. At least, we did not see that he was fined and started an audit.”
Kirkorov’s possible guilt is also being investigated by the Forty Sorokov movement. Georgy Soldatov, coordinator of the organization’s legal wing, told socialbites.ca that MIC (Moscow Research Center) is currently conducting an expert study of the case. The end date of the exam is yet to be determined. MIC “socialbites.ca” also did not provide this information.
From April 27 to April 30 Kirkorov, “55. took the stage with the “Anniversary Show”. Gold. “Golden Hit in the State Kremlin Palace”. As part of the number of the song “Mary Magdalena”, the artist climbed onto the stage in the form of a huge cross, which caused great resonance among the Orthodox public. After Kirkorov criticized the Russian Orthodox Church, artists and public organizations , apologized to anyone who was offended on social networks. He wrote on Instagram (the owner of Meta is considered an extremist organization) that he did not want to offend anyone with his speech.
“I’m not putting any bad or abusive intentions in the direction of performance. For me, for a believer, religious shrines are extremely important and respected, ”Kirkorov stressed. “If I hurt someone’s feelings, I offer my sincere apologies.”
He described the number’s choreography as a “fantasy story”. According to Kirkorov, this idea was in no way connected with the aim of insulting Christianity or any other religion.
