Under one of Litvinova’s videos they found a comment by doctor Arthur Ikilikyan from Rostov-on-Don:
“So, tell me, how did you get infected? Did you open your heels?
Later, from the same narration, the author began to find out from the girl whether she had contracted the infection while she was married.
“I live with HIV and I write a blog about it, talking about the rights of people with HIV. “I am faced with aggression,” said the blogger, adding that such comments do not come from doctors very often, but they do exist.
İkilikyan himself stated that he was not calling for the blogger to be harassed due to his illness and that he planned to give a detailed interview. He was also surprised by the amount of negativity he received from other Instagram users (its owner, Meta, is known as an extremist and has been banned in Russia).
“I am in no way and have never called for hatred against HIV/AIDS positive people; but I’m calling for some sort of trend to come out of this and pump it up in a ‘my body, my thing’ kind of way, and I haven’t. It’s weird, to put it mildly. “My colleagues live under stress for several months and repeat tests regularly because it is scary,” he shares.
The doctor confirmed that he asked the blogger “in a rude tone” how he had contracted the infection, but emphasized that he did not have to communicate ethically in every post.
