The visual concept of the new space of TAU musical cultures, created in the former Metmash factory, is based on the industrial architecture of the building and the history of the capital’s factory. This was announced by Ivan Shilnikov, the author of the architectural concept of the project.
“Most of the objects populating the TAU are based on the image of a metal pipe as a reference to the metallurgical history of space,” said Ivan Shilnikov.
He said that the 6,700 square meter building has a dance floor for 1,500 people, numerous recording studios, electronic music schools, book and record stores, art space and co-working spaces.
In his opinion, the aesthetics of the Soviet industrial past are evolving into the modern style of creativity and art.
Shilnikov emphasized that the new architectural forms and content are a tribute to the past of this place.

The modern edition is complete with expanded instrumental techniques, dance rhythms and improvisations by orchestral soloists.
