Singer Masha Rasputina claimed that she was not awarded the title of Honored Artist of Russia because it was always “like a lump in the throat of many.” His words were quoted mk.ru.
The artist said, “I used to be upset that this title was not given to me, but then it was not given to me.”
Rasputina called herself “the most Russian singer.” He realized that his compositions were not played on the national radio station. The singer believes that “newbies are being put on the air” and “real heroes are being pushed back.”
The artist also recalled that in the 90s he was offered to receive the title of Honored Artist of Russia. He said that he “sent” these people because the love of the people was more important to him.

Director Vladimir Bortko and Bolshoi Theater director Valery Gergiev were also deprived of state awards.
