In Russia, national casting for filming in the new domestic film “Pinocchio” has ended. The newspaper reports this “News”.
The competition was held in September on the VKontakte social network. Those who wanted to participate were asked to record a video using the original musical score from the Soviet film “Pinocchio” and repeat the “Bu-ra-ti-no” dance moves, showing talent and originality. The total number of views of the video campaign on the social network exceeded 11 million.
The creators selected five winners from more than 3.8 thousand applications received. The director of the film, Igor Voloshin, thanked everyone who participated in the acting competition. He emphasized that he enjoyed watching the submitted videos because they contained “lots of creativity, crazy energy, interesting drama and a fresh look.”
The movie “Pinocchio” will be released in wide theaters on January 1, 2026.
