On October 4, a Moscow court placed Valeria and Artem under house arrest on charges of conducting foreign exchange transactions with the aim of transferring money to non-resident accounts using forged documents.
According to investigators, Lerchek’s ex-husband is a key figure in this case. Chekalin is suspected of illegally transferring BI FIT company payments for fitness marathons. The transactions were carried out through a bank in Dubai.
On October 6, Lerchek confessed during an interrogation by investigators before the court granted a petition to place him under house arrest.
Later lawyer Katya Gordon reportedThat Chekalina refused his services for fear of publicity. According to the lawyer, he learned about this only in court.
On October 7, it became known that the damage from the activities of the Chekalins could exceed 500 million rubles.
