The Higher School of Performing Arts (HSPA) will hold the festival of contemporary dramaturgy “Dialogue” in Moscow for the first time from September 24 to 26. It was reported RIA Novosti in the press service of the institution.
The theme of the first festival will be “Texts about growing up”. For two days, modern plays about children, adolescent problems and the growing up process will be presented on the VSSI educational theater stage.
The expert council selected eight of the most interesting texts from an extensive list of contemporary plays from recent years prepared by dramaturgs.
The expert committee of the Dialogue festival included such famous actors and directors as Konstantin Raikin, Alexander Kruchenkov, Yakov Lomkin and Elena Butenko-Raikina.
The festival organizers set themselves the goal of introducing the Moscow theater community (directors, artistic directors, theater directors, directors, producers and students of theater universities) to modern texts for children and youth. They also aim to promote creative interaction between authors of modern plays and theater practitioners, and to enrich the repertoire of the capital’s theaters with performances on topics of interest to young people.
