Channel One plans to launch a new project before the end of the year that will be a sort of update of its “Star Factory”. Unlike previous formats, the focus will be on songwriters rather than artists. TASS.
According to the general director of the channel Konstantin Ernst, the producer of the project will be Yuri Bardash.
“Our new project with Yuri Bardash will be released in two months. Now we are negotiating with the writers, casting and decorations are being done,” he said.
Ernst stressed that he had wanted to collaborate with Bardash for a long time, considering him to be one of the best music producers of the last decade.
The authors have already discussed the need to update music content in Russia.
Ernst said that new music should reflect modern realities and carry current meanings. So they invited writers to submit their works, and a promotional video about the project was broadcast on Channel One for several months.
According to Ernst, there were about ten thousand songs submitted, and they chose seventy of them.
