Winona Ryder tells how she became a victim of sexual assault at age 20 08/30/2024, 17:27

Actress Winona Ryder admitted that she was sexually harassed several times in Hollywood. The first time this happened when the artist was 20 years old. The celebrity shared her story in a chat Esquire.

“This was not an assault, but it was incredibly inappropriate and brutal,” the actress said.

Ryder stressed that this doesn’t happen as often as it does to aspiring actresses, as she was already famous by the age of 20. The star did not name the people who behaved inappropriately towards her, only saying that the incidents had put her off filming.

The actress also admitted that she was “blacklisted” by Miramax, led by Harvey Weinstein. She doesn’t know why, but assumes the producer didn’t like her because “she knew too much.”

In 2020, Weinstein, 70, was found guilty of five felonies and sentenced to 23 years in prison. In total, more than 90 women have accused Weinstein of rape, sexual assault or harassment.

Previously Nicole Kidman clarified a trait that hinders him in life.
