Honored Artist of Russia singer Alena Apina admitted that music is her medicine and “straw”. She spoke about this in an interview kp.ru.
“I met the piano, probably when I was five years old. And it was love at first sight. Next – a music school with great pleasure, a music school, part of the conservatory. Then you already know everything. And I can say this at almost 60 years old. Music is my straw, my hay, my medicine, my tears, my joy, my place. It is in me and with me always and everywhere,” said the artist.
According to her, when asked what she would take with her if she were stranded on a deserted island, she always says it would be SS Prokofiev’s First Concerto for Piano and Orchestra in D flat major. Apina also added that she has recently been listening to Childish Gambino’s latest album.
