New defendants emerge in Perry case 00:32

Five people are on trial in connection with the death of American actor Matthew Perry. This was reported by Associated Press Referring to Prosecutor Martin Estrada.

Investigators believe Perry, who died of a ketamine overdose, was overmedicated by two doctors, Salvador Plasencia and Mark Chavez, and that the actor’s assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa, intentionally overdosed Perry.

“These defendants took advantage of Mr. Perry’s drug addiction problems to enrich themselves. They knew what they were doing was wrong,” Estrada said.

The lawsuit names doctors and the actor’s assistant, as well as a local drug lord, the “Ketamine Queen of Los Angeles” Jaswin Sangha, and drug distributor Eric Fleming – Iwamasa also purchased ketamine illegally from them.
