The Khostinsky District Court of the city of Sochi recognized the exclusive rights to the works of the singer Yuri Shatunov to his family. This is reported by Telegram channel The joint press service of the courts of the Krasnodar Territory.
We are talking about 23 compositions by Shatunov. The artist’s family acquired the rights to the songs: “White Roses”, “Gray Night”, “Pink Evening”, “And I will hold out my palms to you”, “Autumn is slowly leaving”, “Stray Dog”, “Adults”, “Stupid Snowflakes”, “Of course everything”, “Summer”, “Masquerade”, “July”, “Snowstorm in a strange city”, “So what are you doing”, “Autumn Park” , “Let it be night”, “For your sake”, “Early Autumn”, “Old Forest”, “Melting Snow”, “Telephone Romance”, “You Just Were”, “I’m Frank”.
The lawyer of the family of singer Yuri Shatunov, Sergei Vasiliev, said that Shatunov and the author of the song “Tender May” Sergei Kuznetsov signed an agreement on October 1, 2019. The lawyer was present at the meeting, so he knows for sure what was in it. According to this agreement, Shatunov had the right to sing.
Yuri Shatunov has been suing producer Andrei Razin for several years over the songs “Tender May”. On June 8, 2022, the Court of Cassation in Stavropol ruled in favor of Shatunov. The court also said that the documents Razin presented as evidence of the rights to the group’s songs were fake. After Shatunov died in June 2022, Razin tried to sue the family for the rights to the compositions.
