Blogger Valeria Chekalina (Lerchek) published divorce papers on Instagram (the owner of the Meta company is recognized as an extremist in Russia and is banned).
The decision to dissolve the marriage entered into force on August 13, 2024. Lerchek thanked her ex-husband, businessman and blogger Artem Chekalin, for the past years and children. She announced the beginning of a new life.
“I wish you sincere happiness! But we are parents of our wonderful children forever. Take care of your families,” the blogger noted.
Valeria and Artem Chekalin got married on October 26, 2012. Three children were born from their marriage: daughter Alice and sons Bogdan and Lev. After the divorce, the court determined the blogger’s place of residence for children.
August 7 Cekalina acceptedthat she doesn’t want to start over with her ex-husband. Lerchek said she doesn’t get the point. According to the blogger, there’s no way they could get back together.
In March 2023, Chekalina became a defendant in a criminal case for tax evasion in the amount of 311 million rubles. Her husband at the time, Artem, was accused of aiding and abetting tax evasion. In December 2023, the Chekalinas paid off their debts to the state.
