Jazz singer Teona Kontridze recalled that she was amazed by choreographer Nikolai Tsiskaridze before visiting his house for the first time. She talked about this in a famous YouTube show “Worlds Around the World”.
“I think when I arrive there will be an atmosphere like Nuriev’s: a lot of antiques, a lot of carpets, a lot of bedroom-like apartments or houses. And he lives like a hermit,” the artist said.
He described the artist as a person indifferent to matter. According to Kontridze, Tsiskaridze took only a library and icons with him when he moved to Russia.
“You should see how she eats. She eats four foods: bread, cheese, tomatoes, meat. All of them. Just a holy trinity,” the singer shared.
Theona Kontridze in August clarified severe diagnosis of her husband Nikolai Klopov. The artist admitted that her husband has been using a wheelchair for a year. Five years ago, he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.
The star married Klopov in 2008. The couple has a common child – son George. The singer has also been in a relationship with Star Factory participant Yuri Titov for several years.
