In a conversation with Kp.ru, Denis Sorokin suggested that Burunov hid his beloved because he, like many artists, believed in the evil eye.
“I think Sergei was serious about Catherine, he saw her as the future mother of his children. <...> If they get married, they will tell their fans about their other halves. Everything has its time,” Sorokin noted.
Burunov has never been married and has no children. It was known that he had affairs with actresses Nonna Grishaeva and Anna Ukolova, as well as with director Anastasia Sayfulina. Burunov himself did not comment on his personal life.
