Puddle of Mudd lead singer and guitarist Wes Scantlin was arrested for refusing to get out of his car. he is writing TMZ.
According to the police in Burbank (California, USA), Scantlin was arrested on July 31. The police stopped the singer’s SUV for a traffic violation and asked for his ID. The officers also discovered that Scantlin was accused of bringing a gun to the airport.
When police asked Scantlin to get out of the car, he refused and the crisis negotiator’s intervention was ineffective. The musician was then pepper sprayed, then the car window was broken and he was shot with a pepper gun before being forced out of the car.
After medical treatment, Scantlin was sent to jail on outstanding restraining orders from a previous charge and a new charge of resisting law enforcement. He was later summoned to court and released. His trial date is set for August 20.
