Minister of Foreign Affairs of Latvia Baiba Brazhe announced in the social network X (formerly Twitter) that she added the Russian-Georgian singer Irakli Pirtskhalava (Iraqi) to the list of undesirable persons for the Republic of Latvia.
Pirtshalava was banned from entering the country indefinitely. The decision was made in accordance with Article 61, Part 2 of the Latvian Immigration Act.
In May 2022, the Latvian government also declared Philip Kirkorov, Vladimir Vinokur, Evgeny Petrosyan and Irina Viner-Usmanova persona non grata and banned these artists from entering the republic.
On December 23, RIA Novosti reported that Pirtskhalava was denied entry to Moldova. The press service of the Moldovan border police did not provide the agency with detailed information about this incident, but noted that 39 people were denied entry to the country in the past 24 hours alone. Moldovan authorities also did not comment on the situation.
Later, in a conversation with Iraqi socialbites.ca approvedHe said that he was not allowed to enter Moldova, where he was supposed to give several concerts. According to the artist, the border guards did not explain the reasons for this decision, but asked him “not to be offended and to return.”
Previously Gazmanov described himself as the owner of all sanctions.
