Fan fiction site “Fikbuk” (“Fan Fiction Book”) removed all prohibited materials for users in the Russian Federation after Roskomnadzor’s restrictions. About this reported on the site’s Telegram channel.

“We have made all necessary changes to ensure that Fikbook complies with the laws of the Russian Federation. We are currently waiting for the changes to be reviewed by the RKN,” the authors of the post wrote.

Admins added that verification may take some time. For users from other countries, the site will work without any changes.

“We appreciate your support and continue to work to ensure Fikbook remains a hotspot for creativity,” the authors of the post wrote.

Roskomnadzor in mid-July blocked Access to the largest Russian-language fan fiction platform. Before that, the department appealed to the owners of the resource with a request to remove LGBT content from the site (“International Social Movement of LGBT” is recognized as extremist and terrorist and is prohibited in the territory of the Russian Federation). The ministry noted that the resource, where 75% of visits come from Russian addresses, contains a large number of sections on LGBT topics. However, despite the regulator’s requirements, the site administration either ignored them or simply transferred information from one page to another.

Previously, the group “Krovostok” statedWill challenge Roskomnadzor’s decision to block the album.
