Scammers defrauded writer Edward Radzinsky of 45 million rubles. About this reports Telegram channel Mash.
After his creative night on July 9, the attackers called Radzinsky and introduced themselves as Wikipedia employees. The fake employees of the online encyclopedia offered to update information about him on the site, but the author hung up. Radzinsky then received a call from the FSB, claiming that the scammers wanted to steal the money Radzinsky had saved up for an apartment and transfer it to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The author took savings in the amount of 45 million rubles from the bank and transferred them to “a trusted employee of the Federal Security Service.” The courier, a 19-year-old student, was later detained by the police.
Similar scammers in June deceived artist Nikas Safronov – first introduced themselves as Wikipedia employees, then hacked the “State Services” WhatsApp account and began to ask other celebrities on behalf of Nikas to deposit money into their accounts.
Previously Nikita Mikhalkov denied call yourself an informant.
