Rapper Alisher Morgenstern (known as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation) said he was denied entry to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) because one of the country’s rulers had a “grudge” against him. The musician talked about this in a YouTube program “Entrance”.
“For what? I don’t know, they didn’t tell me,” said Morgenstern.
The rapper also thanked fate for having to leave the UAE. According to the musician, he experienced stagnation in Dubai – while there the rapper stood inactive and abused alcohol.
“There is no human life there, I gave up on that and started forgetting. <...> “During the tests I did in Dubai, I reached the point where I had liver failure 10 times,” he said.
Morgenstern added that he also started having panic attacks due to his unhealthy lifestyle. He also noted that the UAE authorities’ decision had nothing to do with his interview with journalist Ksenia Sobchak.
in January 2024 recognizedIt was stated that after Sobchak’s interview, Morgenstern was prevented from entering the UAE. The artist’s lawyer, Sergei Zhorin, stated that his client leads a respectable lifestyle in the Emirates and has never violated the laws of the Arab country. The defender believes that the authorities’ decision was related to a “well-wisher” being reported to Dubai law enforcement.
