Sergei Pauk Troitsky, leader of the Russian “Corrosion of Metal” band, said that the band took a break from its concert activities after the incident with the raid in Nizhny Novgorod. This was reported by RTVI.
“Until an apology from the Nizhny Novgorod authorities and the return of the stolen pizza and vodka, the band Corrosion of Metal is temporarily stopping its performances on the territory of the Russian Federation,” the musician emphasized.
According to Troitsky, rockers do not want to give concerts because they cannot promise a “garbage frenzy” and guarantee the safety of both their listeners and band members. Troitsky also assured that this issue is now being resolved “at the highest level”.
The frontman of Corrosion of Metal said that the band now plans to record songs for a new album and hold online concerts “from the anti-nuclear bunker in Paukovka-1.”
On the night of April 28, two guitarists and about 40 spectators were detained at the concert of Sergei “Spider” Troitsky, leader of the “Corrosion of Metal” group in Nizhny Novgorod. Security forces entered the club, stripped visitors of their clothes and searched for their tattoos.
The group’s administrator, Maria Runova, explained that the security forces were interested in the group’s products – which contained “ancient Slavic symbols in the form of various sun images in which rays are bent into a circle.” On the same day, it was learned that the court fined Troitsky 1 thousand rubles for displaying Nazi symbols. He was found guilty of an administrative offense. The detained musicians were also fined the same amount.
