Devyatova criticized artists who sing about Russia: “It’s fashionable these days” 19:09

People’s artist and finalist of the People’s Artist-3 project Marina Devyatova doubted the sincerity of the artists who suddenly began to sing about Russia. His words were reported by the publication “Paragraph”.

“And for 26 years I have been singing a song about Russian birches, and only in this tragic situation suddenly everyone said: “Oh, it is necessary, it is fashionable to be patriotic these days,” the singer was indignant.

Devyatova accused artists who started composing in the folk genre, from young pop singers to rappers, of cheating. She complained that everyone started singing such songs just because it was trendy.

“And for 26 years I have been singing about this Russia, and I am happy that I live there and sing about it, and suddenly they noticed this in an unexpected way,” the singer concluded.

Devyatova in the same conversation stated About the responsibility of artists with honorary titles for their statements before the president, the public, teachers and God. The artist added that talent does not belong to artists, some are given from birth.
